Yellow jacket nest can grow very large in the sheltered protection on an attic. In the cooler climates like Michigan, these nest will be built under the insulation on top of the drywall ceiling, as this nest grows larger the drywall will become soft, it may form a bubble and eventually a hole will appear and thousand of yellow jackets will fill the room. This is obviously a dangerous situation and professional help is needed to remove the loose bees and extract the nest. This is most common from mid June through October. Some signs to look for would be a steady stream of yellow jackets entering your home through a small crack or hole in the siding of the house, you should never try to plug this hole, doing so will force the bees to find an other exit. Some times that new exit will on the inside of the house. Another sign would be a bubble or soft spot in the drywall or even a constant crackling noise coming from inside the wall. Yellow jackets can be deadly that is why you need to have professional help removing them. We have special equipment and protective clothing to remove them quickly and safely from your home.

Under ground yellow jacket nests can be very dangerous, these nest can be disturbed while mowing the lawn, gardening or simply walking to close. When yellow jackets are provoked they will swarm their pray and have been know to kill people and animals inflecting hundreds of stings. Our Technicians must ware a protective suit to remove these nest safely and effectively. We dont recommend handling these bees yourself.

Carpenter Bees

These bees are often the first ones to emerge in the spring
often times they are mistaken for bumble bees because of their size and nature of flight. However Carpenter Bees are actually considered a wood destroying pest. These Bees will drill a perfectly round hole often in a soffit overhang of a home and will be seen hovering around the opening most of the day. These bees rarely sting (only the Females have stingers and do not normally leave the nest) But the damage from the many holes calls for control. A special dust or foam must be injected into the hole to control these pest, over the counter sprays are mostly ineffective.
